Job summary

Fameccanica North America is seeking a Sourcing/Category Buyer in West Chester, OH to manage sourcing categories for machined parts and engineered components. You will source suppliers, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, and manage POs and spend while negotiating terms with domestic and global suppliers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in strategic sourcing for custom-engineered components, knowledge of CNC processes, and strong negotiation and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement for custom-engineered components or industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and heat treatment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T.
• Supplier negotiation and cost analysis experience.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing categories for machined parts and engineered components.
• Source and develop suppliers for custom components made to technical drawings and specifications.
• Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and GD&T.
• Manage purchase orders and category spend.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier quotes, and analyze cost and value.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery, quality standards, and commercial terms with domestic and global suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, KPIs, and risks.
• Identify and implement cost savings and value-engineering improvements.
• Monitor markets, benchmark costs, and conduct cost analysis.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other teams.
• Maintain accurate sourcing, pricing, and supplier data in ERP and SRM systems.

What We're Looking For

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
