Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Sourcing Commodity Analyst to support strategic sourcing across Refrigeration, Electronics, and Sheet Metal. You will help manage approximately $60-80 million in annual spend, drive cost savings, and collaborate with multiple internal teams and external suppliers.

The role reports to the Sourcing Manager and requires a proactive, data-driven professional with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Required: BS Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of work experience in manufacturing or supply chain industry.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic cost-savings projects for key commodities, including Refrigeration, Electronics, and Sheet Metal.
• Negotiate supplier contracts including pricing, lead time, stocking agreements, and non-price terms.
• Create supplier risk management strategies to mitigate risk across the supply chain.
• Execute make-vs-buy decisions by working with internal team members and leveraging data to drive effective decisions.
• Interact with Dover Corporate Sourcing, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and suppliers.
• Identify and drive deployment of cost savings, structuring cost reduction programs using value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) techniques, and other tool sets to reduce supply chain complexities and waste.
• Analyze cost, delivery, performance, and quality data to identify cost-savings opportunities, risk mitigation actions, and supplier performance escalations.
• Creating executive-style presentations summarizing analytical data across our company
• Lead discussions around spend analytics and other data into presentations for management reviews.
