Job summary

Dover Food Retail, part of Dover Corporation, is seeking a Sourcing Commodity Analyst in Conyers, GA. This role supports strategic sourcing for direct categories such as Refrigeration Products, Electronics, and Sheet Metal, overseeing roughly $60-80 million in annual spend.

You will engage in supplier management, risk analysis, and cost-saving initiatives within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, you will help drive global sourcing efforts, Make-vs-Buy

Qualifications

• BS in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of work experience in manufacturing or supply chain.
• MBA is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic cost-savings projects for key commodities including Refrigeration, Electronics, and Sheet Metal.
• Negotiate supplier contracts including pricing, lead time, stocking agreements, and non-price terms.
• Create supplier risk management strategies to mitigate risk across the supply chain.
• Execute make-vs-buy decisions by working with internal teams and data.
• Interact with Dover Corporate Sourcing, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and suppliers.
• Identify and deploy cost savings and value engineering ideas to reduce supply chain waste.
• Prepare executive-style presentations summarizing analytical data for management reviews.

What we are looking for

We're seeking a strong candidate to join our Sourcing group and support the strategic sourcing of direct categories, including Refrigeration Products, Electronics, and Sheet Metal.

In this role, you will support approximately $60-80 million in annual spend across key categories.

This is an exciting opportunity in a growing business, with responsibility for executing sourcing strategies in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. The Sourcing Analyst will support the comprehensive strategy for these categories, including supplier management and development, supplier risk analysis, and cost savings for fast-growing categories purchased by Hillphoenix. Other strategic activities include global sourcing efforts, supply base optimization, make-versus-buy decisions, new product development, and risk mitigation. This position reports to the Sourcing Manager.

What you will be responsible for

• Execute strategic cost-savings projects for key commodities, including Refrigeration, Electronics, and Sheet Metal.
• Negotiate supplier contracts including pricing, lead time, stocking agreements, and non-price terms.
• Create supplier risk management strategies to mitigate risk across the supply chain.
• Execute make-vs-buy decisions by working with internal team members and leveraging data to drive effective decisions.
• Interact with Dover Corporate Sourcing, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and suppliers.
• Identify and drive deployment of cost savings, structuring cost reduction programs using value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) techniques, and other tool sets to reduce supply chain complexities and waste.
• Analyze cost, delivery, performance, and quality data to identify cost-savings opportunities, risk mitigation actions, and supplier performance escalations.
• Creating executive-style presentations summarizing analytical data across our company.
• Lead discussions around spend analytics and other data into presentations for management reviews.

Basic qualifications

• BS Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of work experience in manufacturing or supply chain industry.

Preferred qualifications

• MBA.
• Demonstrated ability to apply a systematic, disciplined approach to managing technical product sourcing.
• Working knowledge of sourcing principles, including cost, risk, contracts, delivery, production, demand, and forecasting.
• The Sourcing Analyst needs to have an entrepreneurial mindset, strong organizational skills, the ability to implement a strategic plan, a strong bias for action, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• High energy and self-motivated.
• Strong sense of urgency balanced with process compliance.
• Basic knowledge of technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, key commodities such as compressors, evaporator condensers, valves (solenoid and manual), couplings, CDUs, controllers, control panels, sheet metal, and sensors.
• Strong analytical skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization, to support sourcing decision-making, pricing reviews, and process tracking reports.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel for data analytics and executive-level presentations.
• Clear and concise communication skills to share analytical details and drive effective decision‑making.
