Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking a Solar and Energy Project Coordinator to support grant-funded solar projects and energy initiatives that decarbonize the city, including CPRG 2 projects and internal benchmarking.

The role collaborates with internal departments, vendors, and community partners to advance energy goals, track data in EnergyCAP and Portfolio Manager, and report progress in alignment with the Cleveland Climate Action Plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability, public administration, or a closely related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in municipal or large organization energy/sustainability programs, with grant projects preferred.
• Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects and managing complex timelines.
• Ability to translate technical information into actionable steps for project delivery.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CPRG 2 solar projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with grant management and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate energy benchmarking and data reporting using EnergyCAP and Portfolio Manager.
• Support GHG inventory updates and data quality.
• Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, and community partners.
