Job summary

ICLEI USA is seeking a Solar and Energy Project Coordinator to support grant-funded solar and energy initiatives for decarbonization efforts in Cleveland. The role interfaces with city departments, vendors, and community partners to manage project deliverables, budgets, and reporting in alignment with climate action plans updated in 2025.

The ideal candidate has strong project coordination experience, data management skills, and familiarity with energy programs or grant administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in a scientific, engineering, environmental, or related technical field, economics, business administration or public administration; broad focus on sustainability.
• Two (2) years of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience in program administration required.
• Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer, and supervise project activities for grant-funded solar and energy programs.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and external partners to advance project deliverables.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and reporting in line with grant requirements and city sustainability goals.
• Maintain and communicate project status, prepare reports and narratives for stakeholders.
