Job summary

ATSG in Wilmington, OH seeks a strategic Manager, Software Services to lead a team of developers maintaining and modernizing our software solutions for mission-critical aviation operations. You will set technical strategy, guide modernization, and mentor staff while remaining hands-on during outages and complex design decisions.

The role requires deep C#/.NET expertise, strong SDLC governance, and experience with APIs, data integrations, and cloud-enabled platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in application development, software engineering, integration, or software support.
• 5+ years leading developers, technical teams, or major initiatives.
• Strong hands-on capability and ability to review work from developers and AI tools.
• Background in C#/.NET and building custom business applications.
• Experience modernizing legacy apps, interfaces, and integrations.
• Proven SDLC, SQL Server/Oracle, APIs, ETL/ELT proficiency.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and build processes, standards, tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a team of developers, analysts, and contributors.
• Set technical strategy for .NET, Power Apps, and custom delivery.
• Direct vendor relationships, statements of work, and performance.
• Collaborate with data platforms to adopt new technologies.

• Translate business needs into supportable solutions with stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory, logging, monitoring, and deployment standards.
