Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Mid-Level Software Acquisitions Engineer with 9–12 years of experience to support the software acquisitions lifecycle and physics-based modeling efforts for satellite system resiliency. This on-site role works with the SPO and government customers to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Key duties include writing Statements of Work, guiding agile development, evaluating contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with government requirements.

Qualifications

• Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• 9+ years of relative experience or 7+ years with Master’s degree.
• Ability to communicate and engage customers independently.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze space-domain problems in a collaborative team.
• Identify Agile solutions and program Epics with acceptance criteria.
• Draft Statements of Work for upcoming systems acquisitions.
• Advise Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) on performance and cost.
• Review contractor submissions for technical accuracy and provide analysis.
• Coordinate tools demonstrations to user community (1–2 times per year).
