Job summary

KBR’s Acquisition Management Engineering role supports space programs with systems engineering and advisory services to defense and IC customers. You will contribute to acquisition planning, cost estimation, and performance management for major space systems.

On-site in Chantilly, VA, with collaboration across government customers, contractors, and SPO/COTR staff to shape baselines, ECPs, and procurement strategies while adhering to DoD/IC policies.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Bachelor of Science in STEM field required.
• 14+ years supporting a Government acquisition program office.
• Experience providing direct support to program COTR.
• DoD/IC acquisition, procurement, and contracting processes knowledge.
• Experience managing technical, cost, and schedule performance in acquisitions over $50M.
• Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition engineering and program management/COTR activities for new starts and changes to baselines.
• Provide acquisition strategy, planning, and systems engineering expertise to software development and ground processing system software projects.
• Create and validate Program Office Estimate models and participate in cost position development and independent cost estimates.
• Assist in developing RFIs/RFPs, SOWs, ECPs, and other contract documents; assist in evaluating responses.
• Monitor contractor cost performance and advise government on corrective actions.
