Job summary

Harris Computer, a Constellation Software company, seeks a Senior Corporate Development Associate to build and advance a pipeline of vertical-market software investments in the United States or Canada.

You will identify prospective investments, cultivate relationships with founders and executives, and work with the M&A execution team through evaluation, offers and closing. Travel within the US and Canada is required. Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year + commission.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or related field.
• Ability to source, qualify, and advance acquisition opportunities beyond just supporting transactions.
• Proven track record building relationships with founders, owners and senior executives.
• Strong understanding of vertical-market software businesses and their markets.
• Clear perspective on applying AI to research, sourcing, prioritization and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build the investment pipeline by proactively identifying vertical-market software businesses and assessing strategic fit.
• Develop trusted relationships with founders, owners, and senior executives to position Harris as a long-term home for their companies.
• Advance opportunities through evaluation, offers and closing with the M&A execution team.
• Raise team capability by collaborating on research, outreach, meetings and investment judgment.
• Improve workflows and market mapping using AI-enabled tools and maintain CRM discipline.
• Travel within the United States and Canada to meet prospective targets.
