Job summary

Darkroom is seeking a Social Media Manager to own day-to-day strategy and execution across a portfolio of client accounts. This fully remote role supports a team in the EST time zone, requiring a culture-driven approach to social.

You will lead calendar planning with the Director of Creative Strategy, brief designers and editors, and actively manage communities while translating platform metrics into creative direction. Experience with Sprout Social is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building 'worlds' on social with brands and engaged communities.
• Fluent in social media metrics and able to translate data into decisions.
• Strong understanding of culture and how it moves on social.
• Up to date on algorithm changes and platform shifts across Meta, TikTok, and Instagram.
• Strong briefing skills for inventive creatives.
• Experience using Sprout Social or a similar social management platform.
• Experience in product, beauty, fashion, SaaS, tech, or hospitality preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day creative execution for organic social programs across a portfolio of client accounts.
• Partner with the Director of Creative Strategy to build out the social media calendar and plan.
• Brief and direct Designers and Editors on inventive, culturally-relevant content with clear feedback.
• Lead community management to actively build community.
• Write copy for social posts, adapting tone by platform and client.
• Work with the creator team on UGC briefs and execution.
• Translate platform data (hooks, watch time, CTR, engagement) into creative direction.
• Maintain quality and consistency across a high volume of social output and flag risks early.
• Manage day-to-day client relationship — communication and expectations.
• Keep the account organized operationally — timelines and workflow.
