Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced Sr. Supply Base Manager to lead end-to-end commercial operations and supplier relationships across our silicon supply chain at the Santa Clara headquarters.

You will own sourcing strategies for custom ASICs, processors, ethernet switches, and other key semiconductors powering our security infrastructure. This role emphasizes best-in-class terms, AI-enabled insights, and high-visibility impact.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, supply chain, or business.
• 8+ years of direct procurement, strategic sourcing, or related semiconductor experience.
• Deep understanding of the OEM semiconductor landscape and manufacturing ecosystem.
• Proven track record negotiating complex MSAs, new product awards, and technology licensing.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive-level commercial engagements and quarterly reviews with key semiconductor suppliers.
• Structure pricing models, should-cost roadmaps, and NRE investments to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Secure long-term allocation and drive alternate-sourcing strategies to ensure supply resiliency.
• Collaborate with hardware, silicon, quality, and legal teams on sourcing strategies aligned to roadmaps.
• Stay abreast of technology roadmaps, geopolitical risks, and industry capacity trends.
