Job summary

Slate Auto in Troy, MI is seeking a Service Parts Buyer/Coordinator to own procurement and fulfillment for the company’s ~800-part service BOM across FN Truck and FN SUV programs. You will source from the production supply base, manage packaging and logistics for a multi-channel distribution model, set MOQs, and coordinate subassembly builds at the Warsaw facility.

The role requires automotive OEM service parts experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in automotive or manufacturing service parts purchasing.
• Experience with MOQs and direct-ship logistics.
• Strong supplier negotiations.
• ERP/MRP experience (SAP/Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Own procurement of ~800 service parts from production base.
• Manage RFQ processes, pricing, and purchase orders.
• Set MOQs based on demand forecasts; drive cost reductions.
• Define packaging specs and manage multi-channel logistics.
• Coordinate subassembly builds at Warsaw facility.
• Collaborate with 3PL for receiving, storage, and distribution.
• Maintain accurate service parts data (lead times, stock).
• Support BOM changes from model year updates.
