Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Communications seeks a Director of Service Line Communications to provide overarching strategic leadership, reputation architecture, and narrative management across all clinical service lines. This role partners with Clinical Chiefs and Service Line Leaders, leading a distributed team to align with enterprise standards and drive growth with earned media credibility.

The role collaborates with VP, Corporate Communications and other AVPs to align communications

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in corporate communications.
• Prior people leadership experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate Affairs, or related field.
• Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) or a similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and govern a unified communications strategy across clinical service lines.
• Serve as the primary, high-level communications advisor to Clinical Chiefs and Service Line Leaders.
• Provide leadership and development to the distributed team of Service Line Communications Managers.
• Partner with Service Line Marketing to align campaigns with earned media coverage and storytelling.
• Oversee writing, refining, and dissemination of high-level communication copy and publications.
• Direct rapid-response localized crisis communications and narrative management.
