Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Director of Service Line Communications to provide strategic leadership across all clinical service lines, elevating the system narrative and advancing thought leadership. Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate Affairs, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive, relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
• Prior people leadership experience is required.
• ACPR/APR or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of Service Line Communications Managers and staff across the enterprise.
• Partner with Service Line Marketing Leads and Corporate Communications leadership to align campaigns with earned media coverage and thought leadership.
• Oversee writing, refining, and regional/national distribution of high-level communications and announcements.
• Direct rapid-response localized crisis communications and real-time narrative management for incidents affecting service lines.
• Interface with centralized Intake & Content Studio to translate needs into strategic briefs for execution.
• Present KPIs to executives on narrative penetration and earned media impact.
