Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Manager, Components to lead a supply chain team for server components across multiple global sites. The role requires strong leadership, strategic sourcing, and inventory optimization to support product lines and revenue targets.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Sales, Engineering and Operations, while driving NPIs and improving pricing strategies. A technical or business background and 5+ years in supply chain are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain and product management experience in server hardware.
  • Experience and knowledge of server key components, especially CPU, is a plus.
  • Strong communication, analytical and project management skills to collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3–5 direct reports and drive coordinated effort across 2 other global geo-sites.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies with assigned vendors to meet revenue targets.
  • Review and determine inventory level based on build plan, consumption data and trends to optimize stock and forecast with suppliers.
  • Initiate and drive NPI process to SKU up new products by monitoring supplier roadmaps.
  • Work with Cost Team to help determine pricing strategies.
  • Manage all supply-chain aspects of assigned SKUs as an individual contributor.
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.
