Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an outstanding Sr. Manager - Key Components to lead global sourcing strategies for critical components, ensuring supply security and competitive advantages.

You will manage long-term supplier relationships, work closely with engineering and product teams, and drive cross-functional initiatives in a fast-moving, high-impact business. The role requires strong leadership, analytics, and communication skills, with a track record of delivering value and improving TCO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field; MBA desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally in hardware/software product management.
• Strong analytical, marketing and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to develop business relationships from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for key components to ensure supply security and competitive advantages.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.
• Analyze market trends, cost structures, and competitive forces to optimize procurement strategy and TCO.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to align procurement with roadmaps and product lifecycles.
