Job summary

Sanmina Fremont is seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to own end-to-end supply chain for a major facility launch. You will architect supplier workflows, manage a high-complexity, metal and electronics components supply, and lead a cross-functional procurement team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 6–8+ years in industrial procurement, with ERP system expertise (Oracle/SAP). It offers broad benefits and growth within a fast-growing, ITAR facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• 6–8+ years of progressive procurement experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or complex assembly is a plus.
• Proficiency in Oracle or SAP; familiarity with ERP systems for data management.
• CPSM or CSCP certifications are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design procurement protocols and vendor onboarding for a new facility.
• Lead and mentor a 2–4 buyer team with KPIs.
• Execute procurement activities per Global Strategic Sourcing decisions.
• Manage sourcing of high-spec raw materials and OEM parts.
• Apply TCO models to optimize cost beyond price.
• Maintain supplier relationships, including international vendors.
• Monitor inventory with planning to meet targets for long-lead items.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and track PPV.
• Coordinate with global commodity team to align delivery with production.
• Negotiate pricing to protect plant profitability.
