Job summary

UNS Energy Corporation seeks an entry- to mid-level Buyer/Planner to support procurement for equipment, materials and services. You will issue purchase orders, liaise with suppliers and internal customers, and manage supplier performance while ensuring compliance with policies.

The role requires familiarity with Maximo, PASTA, Oracle or similar ERP tools, and a solid grasp of the procure-to-pay process, budgeting and forecasting to optimize material flows and inventory turns.

Qualifications

• Two years of supply chain and/or power plant experience.
• Familiar with procure-to-pay processes including requisitioning, RFQs, purchase orders, warehouse operations and accounts payable.
• Understanding of service agreements, scopes of work, change orders or amendments and performance periods.
• Knowledge of materials management, logistics, procurement and related business administration.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders to suppliers to support operations and maintenance.
• Interviews supplier representatives to develop reliable sources and maintains price/delivery history.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations for cost and conformance to specs, and recommend awards.
• Monitor supplier performance for price, on-time delivery and quality; expeditors overdue materials.
