Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a seasoned procurement professional in Chicago to lead global strategy for semiconductors, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize costs while ensuring supply continuity. The role requires cross-functional leadership, strong analytics, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid role based in Chicagoland with office as needed; relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of procurement or similar business experience.
• Excellent contract negotiations skills and understanding of key commercial terms.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work at various levels of management.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects.
• Direct experience as a Procurement category manager managing complex semiconductors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global, cross functional team in developing and executing a cohesive category strategy in the semiconductor space.
• Lead supplier negotiations within a strategic contractual relationship.
• Manage supplier relationships including performance, capacity, contracting, risk, cost and quality.
• Identify cost savings through negotiations and alternate sourcing.
• Ensure components supply assurance with Preferred Manufacturer List.
• Monitor commodity market conditions and develop a supply continuity plan.
• Lead the Strategic Component Team to drive cost, quality and delivery improvements.
