Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to purchase goods, materials, and services that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

You will request supplier quotations, evaluate bids, perform cost analyses, issue compliant purchase orders, and collaborate with internal teams to mitigate supply risks and drive cost reductions while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–10 years professional experience in procurement.
• 3–5 years purchasing experience, including suppliers internationally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, and services meeting cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Perform cost analyses using should-cost, bids, and cost breakdowns.
• Generate purchase orders compliant with company requirements.
• Communicate and mitigate supply problems impacting operations.
• Interface between suppliers and Gentex departments.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation solutions.
• Monitor market trends and drive favorable actions for Gentex.
• Develop cost reductions to meet PPV targets.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance feedback.
• Identify and assess new suppliers meeting cost, quality, and delivery needs.
