Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a procurement professional to direct and plan purchasing of materials, parts, and equipment at its Carbondale facility. You will organize production and material processes to support timely shipments while meeting company and customer requirements.

The role requires 2–4 years in purchasing within manufacturing, experience with MRP systems, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. On-site work with standard warehouse/manufacturing environments is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain.
• 2–4 years purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in an MRP environment and scheduling manufactured products.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities for commodities and follow through to delivery.
• Analyze commodity requirements, specs, suppliers, and timing for production.
• Negotiate lowest cost while balancing quality and schedule.
• Ensure on-time delivery at negotiated price meeting quality standards.
• Maintain timely order/ship documents and records.
• Support production scheduling and ship schedules based on customer orders.
• Participate in daily meetings to communicate schedules and performance against plan.
• Ensure material and labor availability at start of production MO’s.
