Gentex Corporation in Zeeland, Michigan seeks a seasoned purchasing professional to manage sourcing and supplier relations. You will evaluate quotations, perform cost analyses, and generate compliant purchase orders to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

You will identify risks and implement cost reductions while collaborating with other departments. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of purchasing experience, international supplier exposure, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-10 years professional experience.
• 3-5 years purchasing experience.
• 1-3 years purchasing from international suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• English fluent; other language a plus.

Responsabilités

• Purchase goods, materials, and services that meet or exceed the cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Perform cost analysis on goods purchased through should cost, competitive bid, and/or cost breakdown analysis.
• Generate purchase orders that comply with company requirements.
• Communicate and work to mitigate any supply problems which may impact our business operations.
• Act as the interface between suppliers and other departments at Gentex.
• Identify risks and drive solutions to mitigate risks and escalate when needed.
• Monitor market trends and drive favorable actions for Gentex.
• Develop and implement cost reductions to ensure favorable PPV targets are achieved.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure two-way professional relationships exist.
• Monitor supplier performance, provide feedback, and drive improvement actions with suppliers.
• Identify and assess new suppliers that can meet the cost, quality, and delivery expectations for Gentex.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Purchase goods, materials, and services that meet or exceed the cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations.

• Practice good project management skills.
• Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
• Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.

WHAT TO BRING

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 - 10 years professional experience.
