Qualifications

• 15+ years of security risk management experience in large-scale organizations
• Experience driving cross-company security engineering initiatives spanning distributed systems, access control, encryption, and intrusion detection
• Experience with system design, threat modeling, and risk assessment across complex environments
• Experience building engineered security controls and guardrails applying least privilege, defense in depth, and segmentation
• Experience communicating complex security risk and technical decisions to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Define and drive security strategy and engineering standards across multiple sub-pillars
• Identify and solve high-impact security problems spanning distributed systems and encryption
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessment for systemic vulnerabilities across the company
• Architect and implement security controls, guardrails, and defense-in-depth mechanisms
• Partner with senior leadership to define pillar-level security goals and roadmaps
• Identify gaps across the pillar's security stack and drive scalable tooling and risk reduction
• Mentor engineers and leaders, contributing to leadership hiring and security culture
• Represent Meta's security posture internally and externally with thought leadership and insights
• Leverage AI-integrated workflows to redesign security analysis and threat detection
