Job summary

The Texas Education Agency seeks a Texas Partnerships Specialist to support partnerships between school districts and charter operators, guiding SB 1882 implementation and benefits, with design work for resources and trainings. Occasional travel up to 10% and a flexible work location within Texas are noted.

The role reports to the Director of Resources and Supports and collaborates across TEA divisions to assist districts pursuing or operating district charter partnerships.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience: at least five years in education, including two years in supervision or leadership.
• Substitutions: an advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to agency stakeholders on SB 1882 and partnerships.
• Design, format, and edit resources and trainings related to district-charter partnerships.
• Lead benefits application cycles and determine district eligibility for SB 1882 benefits.
• Build capacity across districts and operators, and coordinate coaching networks.
• Design and execute a monitoring plan for 1882 partnerships and renewals.
