Texas Education Agency (TEA) seeks a Deputy Director, Charter School Portfolio to oversee charter performance, amendments, renewal, revocation, governance, and operator engagement. Leads a small team and provides consultative, data-driven support to inform growth and policy decisions.

Occasional travel within Texas and flexible state-wide work location are expected. The role reports to the Director of Charter School Authorizing and requires strong leadership, data analysis, and stakeholder

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least five (5) years of experience in education, including three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage and execute charter amendment review processes to enable timely, thoughtful decisions.
• Evaluate, analyze and track charter school performance data for renewal and revocation procedures.
• Develop and execute operator engagement strategy and coordinate quarterly sessions and communications.
• Lead the Charter School Performance Framework and ensure governance data reporting is accurate and up to date.
• Build, lead and manage a high-quality, detail-oriented team with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
