Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Master Scheduler to plan, staff and schedule personnel resources in a secure, institutional setting. The role ensures coverage of security posts, optimizes schedules, and drives staffing efficiencies in accordance with policy and contract requirements.

Responsibilities include implementing the workforce management platform, creating shift rosters, coordinating training, managing overtime in Kronos, and conducting weekly staffing meetings with facility management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• One year experience with shift scheduling required.
• Additional qualifying education may substitute for experience.
• Two years correctional industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Kronos or timekeeping systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the approved workforce management platform at the local facility level, developing shift rosters and scheduling training.
• Create schedules with fair scheduling practices to ensure safe, secure operations and contract compliance; adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with HR, Payroll and Training to communicate schedule items and ensure documentation.
• Serve as primary contact for overtime tracking and input overtime reasons into Kronos.
• Conduct weekly meetings with facility management to discuss scheduling issues.
• Ensure each employee receives required training before scheduling.
