Job summary

SAIC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Satellite Program Office Lead to guide critical satellite programs from acquisition through operations. You will partner with Government Program Managers and a skilled technical team to influence programmatic decisions, staffing, and risk management for timely launches and on-orbit performance.

The role requires extensive DoD/IC satellite program experience, strong briefing skills, and the ability to navigate fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with the Intelligence Community or the Department of Defense Satellite Program Office best practices.
• PMI PMP or DAWIA Level 3+ certification a plus.
• Government or Commercial experience as a COTR, PM, PEM or acquisition leader.

Responsibilities

• Strategically guide nationally critical satellite programs through acquisition, engineering, and operational trades to achieve on-time launch and on-orbit performance.
• Proactively plan staffing and team assignments to meet dynamic customer needs.
• Recruit, interview, and assign staff to critical acquisition, SE and SME roles across multiple satellite missions.
• Develop decision briefings for senior leadership with deep analysis of options.
