Job summary

The State of Rhode Island is seeking a Salesforce IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a Salesforce project for the Department of State. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include defining scope, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, monitoring progress and budgets, and supporting user training to drive platform adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT project management.
• Experience managing Salesforce implementations; PMP/CSM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire project lifecycle for Salesforce implementations and enhancements, including scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of developers, administrators, and business analysts using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as needed to keep projects on track.
• Monitor progress, timelines, and budgets, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Oversee QA and UAT activities and support end-user training to drive platform adoption.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, technical designs, and user guides.
