Job Description

This role works directly with our Business Communications Solutions group promoting and selling the organization's products and services within an assigned product range or list of new and existing customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets. Websites, Apps' Services, and Statement Printing products related to banking, healthcare, wealth management, mortgage, insurance, and utility clients will be the primary sales focus.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers who may be of strategic importance to the organization.
  2. Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  3. Respond to complex customer inquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  4. Identify, research, and contact prospective customers to build positive relationships for future sales and repeat business.
  5. Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and competitor activity to relevant internal contacts to respond to market changes.
  6. Develop long-term sales plans for key customers and monitor and adapt sales activities accordingly.
  7. Establish sales plans (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly) and prioritize activities to meet targets.
  8. Coach and mentor less experienced sales representatives.
  9. Recommend additional solutions and services to clients, highlighting product advantages, utilizing internal tools as needed.
  10. Partner with internal resources to execute deliverables timely.
  11. Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
  12. Forecast accurately and maintain records in Salesforce.com.
  13. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or at least 5 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Knowledge of RR Donnelley Products & Services preferred.
  • Ability to present to C-Level and senior management; excellent communication skills required.
  • Understanding of the selling cycle; ability to make cold calls daily.
  • Ability to identify critical elements, organize resources, and develop solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Participation in ongoing training; desire to learn about RRD's products & services.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite & Microsoft Office; Salesforce.com experience required.

Additional Information

This is a salary plus commission role, with a current salary range of $50,000 to $150,000 per year plus unlimited commission potential. Compensation may vary based on location, education, skills, and performance.
