Job summary

AISIN World Corp. of America in Northville, MI is seeking a Sales Engineer to execute sales activities for Body products to Toyota and other customers. The role focuses on quotes, pricing negotiations, and building strong customer relationships to support revenue growth.

You will coordinate RFQs, develop short and long-term sales plans, and participate in cross-functional teams to launch new programs while tracking profitability and cost-reduction opportunities. Travel about 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive sales, preferably with a Tier One supplier relating to Body products.
• Strong organization, time-management, and diligent record-keeping.
• Data-driven decision making with analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, dashboards), PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the entire sales process for Body products, gathering RFQ data and scheduling quotes.
• Learn to build piece-price quotations and understand products, costs, and pricing.
• Negotiate pricing with customer purchasing personnel while building relationships.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term sales plans using account data and market trends.
• Support launches of new programs and track profitability through pre-production to production.
• Participate in monthly AISIN North American Plants sales meetings and coordinate with teams.
• Operate self-reliantly while supporting cross-functional teams in daily activities.
• Promote cost-reduction initiatives with cross-functional teams to meet targets.
• Plan yearly/monthly business activities within budget and prioritize tasks per policy.
