Job summary

Lexicon Industrial Construction is seeking a Director of Safety to lead and manage comprehensive safety programs at our industrial construction sites. The role requires ensuring OSHA compliance while fostering a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

You will develop policies, conduct audits, lead training, investigate incidents, and report safety performance to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years in safety management within construction; 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Experience developing and delivering safety trainings.
• Certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies and procedures per OSHA.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Lead safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers to tailor safety measures per project.
• Monitor safety metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to leadership.
• Serve as a key safety contact for project teams and clients.
• Foster a safety-first culture and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
