Job summary

Lexicon Industrial Construction is seeking a Director of Safety to develop and manage comprehensive safety programs across industrial sites. You will ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lead site inspections, and advance a culture of safety for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field, 7+ years in safety management in construction with 3+ in leadership, and strong communication and training skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 7+ years in safety management within construction, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
• Proven experience developing and implementing safety training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHA and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Lead safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers to enforce safety measures tailored to projects.
• Monitor safety metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to leadership.
• Serve as a key contact for safety-related matters for teams and clients.
• Foster a safety-first culture and promote open communication on safety concerns.
• Stay current on safety trends, technology, and regulatory changes.
