Job summary

Lexicon Industrial Construction seeks a Director of Safety to lead the development, implementation, and management of safety programs across our industrial sites, ensuring OSHA compliance and a culture of safety among employees and subcontractors.

You will partner with project managers to tailor safety measures, monitor performance, investigate incidents, and deliver training to teams and clients, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment on every project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in OHS, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 7+ years of safety management experience in construction with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regs, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Certifications such as CSP/CHST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies and procedures in line with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Lead safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers to tailor safety measures for each project.
• Monitor safety performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to leadership.
• Act as a key contact for safety-related matters to project teams and clients.
• Foster a safety-first culture and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
