Job summary

WorkTango, the Minneapolis-based Employee Experience platform, is hiring a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. The role reports to the CEO and oversees GAAP reporting, controls, and treasury, with two direct reports and close collaboration with the parent company Finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience, including leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience with SaaS revenue models preferred.
• Experience with ERP and financial systems; ability to lead close, audit, tax and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting functions: revenue, billing, payroll, AP, close.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and timely close.
• Provide technical accounting guidance for non-standard transactions.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax filings; manage internal controls.
• Oversee consolidation and general ledger activities.
• Mentor accounting team and partner with the parent company finance.
