Qualifications

• MD, PhD, or MBA with 10+ years of validated experience.
• Strong scientific reputation in drug discovery and clinical development in R&I.
• Basic understanding of deal-making.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively.
• Validated leadership abilities in an R&D environment.
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical R&D across international settings.
• Ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems.
• Able to drive business performance and balance scientific excellence with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and maintain external in-licensing opportunities from academia, biotechs, and peer-pharma.
• Represent BD strategy at partnering meetings to prioritize assets in R&I.
• Produce confidential evaluation reports with clear recommendations to the Head of S&E.
• Identify strategic collaborations and platform capabilities to strengthen the portfolio.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve search capabilities and data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely transactions with BD teams.
• Oversee market trends and competitive intelligence in external R&I opportunities.
