Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Logistics Procurement Manager to lead road transportation strategy across LTL, FTL, flatbed, parcel and bulk trucking from our Chicago office.

The role focuses on cost optimization, carrier relationships, and procurement governance to support cross-functional teams in sales and logistics. The successful candidate will analyze spend, negotiate favorable terms, and drive sustainability and efficiency initiatives across multiple modes of transport.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in road transportation management (LTL, FTL, flatbed, parcel)
• Field of study in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business; advanced degree preferred
• Willingness to travel ~25% and compliance with DOT/FMCSA/HOS/hazmat
• Experience with freight audit and payment systems and predictive analytics
• Advanced data analysis skills in Excel, Tableau, Power BI; Python/R a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic partnerships with trucking and parcel carriers
• Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with carriers
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DOT, FMCSA, HOS, hazmat)
• Analyze transportation spend, KPIs and performance to identify trends
• Develop dashboards in Tableau/Power BI for cost, service and efficiency
• Implement predictive analytics to manage freight risk and market shifts
• Provide actionable insights to leadership through executive-ready presentations
• Manage detention, demurrage and accessorial fees across shipments
