Job summary

Capital One in McLean, VA and Richmond, VA seeks a Manager of Risk Management to partner with the business during a transformation, driving governance and control across the Global Payment Network. You will design and execute a health program, lead cross-functional initiatives, and provide advisory support to executives, with Lean/Six Sigma background and strong communication.

This role offers exposure to executives and a chance to shape risk practices while delivering tangible improvements

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
At least 3 years of Financial Services Risk Management Experience (payments, banking, or fintech).
At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients.

Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement Foundation: design and drive a health program for the Global Network aligned with enterprise risk and regulatory requirements.
Process Integration & Execution: manage day-to-day delivery of health metrics for Accountable Executives, identifying gaps and risks.
Advisory: advise business partners to develop processes across Network L2s and highlight risk areas to leadership.
Process Re-engineering: analyze workflows and lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve risk deliverables.
Cross-Functional Delivery: coordinate across Business, Product, Legal, and Compliance to deliver program outcomes.
