Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Manager to redefine payments governance and risk oversight, leading a high‑performing advisory team across the enterprise. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in risk management, audit, or governance.
• At least 4 years experience working in the financial industry.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• APRP certification (preferred).
• 5+ years of risk management experience (preferred).
• 6+ years of project management experience leading cross functional projects (preferred).
• Experience managing senior stakeholders (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience working in payments (preferred).
• 3+ years of process management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of governance advisors to support Enterprise wide payment risk management across business objectives.
• Partner with stakeholders across Line of Businesses, Operations, Product, Technology and Risk Offices to advise on integrating payment risk management across new products.
• Provide expertise and thought leadership on evolving payments, including regulatory and industry perspectives.
• Identify payment risk related trends and drive insights on health of payment types and opportunities for risk mitigation.
