Job summary

Motion Industries in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the company's enterprise risk program, identify exposures, and guide mitigation across operations, finance, and legal. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Advanced degree or ARM/CPCU certification a plus
• Significant enterprise risk management experience
• Minimum 8 years in corporate risk or insurance
• Proven ability to manage internal and external relationships
• Exceptional communicator
• Self-starter and team player
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple objectives

Responsibilities

• Oversee the corporate insurance portfolio, including placement, renewals, claims, and relationships with brokers/carriers
• Develop and implement risk policies, safety and loss-prevention initiatives, and business continuity plans
• Advise the VP - Legal, senior management, and business teams on risk exposures and mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present reports on risk profile, insurance program, and claims activity to senior leadership and the Board
• Participate in the enterprise risk management program, identifying and mitigating various risks
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Safety, Internal Audit, and HR to embed risk awareness in processes
• Manage and develop the risk management team; coordinate with outside counsel as needed
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends affecting risk, insurance, and business continuity
