Qualifications

Bachelor’s or equivalent education/experience in Finance, Business, risk management, insurance, legal, or related field.
Three years of related experience in employment benefits administration, human resources administration, risk management administration or equivalent.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work with a diverse external and internal client base.
Knowledge of risk management principles and concepts.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirement.

Responsibilities

Lead the identification, communication, measurement and management of potential risks that may impact the institution’s operations, reputation, and stakeholders.
Design and implement programs unique to UNL in areas of Risk Management.
Investigation, negotiation and settlement of claims in conjunction with General Counsel.
Review contracts and certificates of insurance from vendors doing business with the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
