Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company seeks a Risk Control Specialist in Omaha, NE. You will perform on-site risk evaluations, gather operational data, and support underwriting with risk classifications and recommendations.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree and 4+ years in insurance or related fields. Travel is extensive; strong writing and communication are essential. This exempt role leads risk control initiatives within the UW - Risk Control department.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Four+ years of general business, insurance or related experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Safety Industrial Operations or the physical sciences is desired.
• CPCU, ARM or other risk control-insurance related coursework is desired.
• Hands-on construction/building experience is desired.

Responsabilités

• Provide Underwriting with an overall opinion of a prospective or existing insureds desirability.
• Conduct on-site risk control evaluations to determine account attitude toward loss control.
• Identify and describe insured operations and ministry profile for underwriting.
• Analyze existing accounts to verify construction class and building valuation.
• Identify risk control weaknesses and suggest corrective measures to insured accounts.
• Respond to agent and insured inquiries on risk control issues.
• Complete risk control visits as scheduled by management.
• Ensure timely risk control reports to meet underwriter requirements.
• Present a professional image to insureds, agents, regulators and others.
• Assist with training of agents on risk control and risk management.
