DPR Construction in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to identify, assess and communicate complex risks that support informed decision-making and safeguard organizational interests. Qualifications

JD required and license to practice law.
6-8 years of experience in risk management, legal counsel, or related field.
6-8 years in a mix of law firm and in-house counsel preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitors evaluation and management of significant risks, ensuring alignment with risk appetite.
Advises leadership on potential impact of risks and recommends actionable mitigation plans.
Leads identification and resolution of standard and complex risk issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Implements risk management policies, guidance, procedures, and training programs.
Mentors others by sharing lessons learned and guidance on proactive mitigation strategies.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to embed risk management into business processes.
Reviews contracts and advises on contractual rights, obligations and potential risks with actionable recommendations.
