Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care in Berkeley, CA seeks a Director of Revenue Cycle to lead billing and revenue cycle operations across multiple sites, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processes. The role oversees claims, denials, posting, collections, and payer relations, partnering with the Head of Finance to implement improvements, monitor KPIs, and maintain strong internal controls. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance or a related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience with supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge of FQHC billing and reimbursement, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and third‑party payer requirements.
• Experience with AR, denials, collections, performance metrics, process improvement and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day billing and revenue cycle operations across multiple sites.
• Improve clean-claim rates, reduce denials and aged AR, accelerate cash collections.
• Oversee payer-specific billing and reimbursement requirements (Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPS, managed care).
• Monitor claim rejections and denials; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop KPIs and regular reporting to the Head of Finance; ensure internal controls.
