Job summary

Skechers U.S.A., Inc. is hiring a Merchandise Planner in Southern California to develop top-down and bottom-up merchandise plans, manage Open-to-Buy and monitor receipts and sales performance to optimize inventory.

Responsibilities include creating seasonal plans, forecasting, and leading OTB meetings with cross-functional partners to drive revenue and ensure plans are met. Strong analytical and Excel skills required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of merchandise planning, inventory management, buying or finance in a retail environment—preferably footwear.
• Proficient in Excel (includes v-lookups and pivot tables).
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans at brand level on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
• Communicate OTB plans to merchandising team and assess inventory risks.
• Reforecast sales monthly and adjust inventory to reconcile the OTB.
• Develop seasonal plans by gender/brand/sub-class pre-season.
• Analyze trends, forecast sales, and review inventory to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with merchandisers to manage lifecycle and transitions of major product platforms.
• Lead monthly OTB meetings with cross-functional partners.
