Job summary

La Ligne, a premier retailer in New York, is seeking an Inventory & Retail Operations Specialist to support store performance and launch readiness. You will manage cross-store stock levels, allocation, and order processing to align with budgets and calendars.

Collaborating with store leadership, you will analyze sell-through, coordinate RTW shipments, and oversee uniform programs, visual displays, and training materials for a seamless omni-channel experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of experience in retail operations or retail inventory planning
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent time management
• Project management and customer service
• Experience in Payroll Management, scheduling, and Retail Operations
• Understanding of various retail programs and KPIs
• Ability to work independently and drive change

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels across all store locations, moving inventory between stores to balance sell-through and prevent stockouts or overstock
• Manage inventory allocation, ensuring new receipts and replenishment are distributed to stores based on sales, store size, and demand
• Process and approve store orders, confirming alignment with allocation policy, budget, and launch calendar
• Run and review cycle counts to validate inventory accuracy
• Plan and coordinate return-to-warehouse (RTW) shipments for aging, damaged, or end-of-season product
• Review store sell-thru reports and meet with store leadership to discuss top- and bottom-performing styles and action plans
• Review and approve damage form submissions from stores, coordinating write-offs, replacements
• Audit operational procedures against the Retail Policy & Procedures Manual, communicate updates
• Manage ordering, allocation, and restocking of the employee uniform program across all locations
• Source, order, and coordinate installation of visual displays and merchandising fixtures
• Participate in end-to-end project management of new store openings, including inventory setup and staff training
• Maintain inventory-related documents, spreadsheets, and training materials, and provide ad hoc support to the Retail Director
