Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resources Business Group Data Steward to define, share, and reuse data across Business Groups and HDR. This leadership role focuses on making data clearer, more usable, and more connected to business decisions, enabling analytics and AI initiatives.

The position reports to the Resources Business Group Technology Director and collaborates with HDR Data Operations and the Technology Leadership Team to drive governance and data quality across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic leadership experience focused on growing, developing, and leading teams in change management and business data.
• Experience with defining data concepts, governance, and data reuse across large organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use technical network to build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, format, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons across business classes and practices.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG and collaborate with Data Science Teams and Operations staff.
