The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit eligible position of Assistant Director of Residential Life. The role oversees housing operations, room assignments, and student welfare across six residence halls and campus apartments, reporting to the Director of Residential Life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of two years in housing operations or facilities management.
• Experience with housing management software; StarRez preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with numerical data and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee StarRez-based room assignments for students and staff.
• Manage room moves, selections, and access control.
• Coordinate housing billing with internal stakeholders.
• Supervise central office staff and front desk operations.
• Participate in Residential Life leadership, planning, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with Facilities on housing renovations and maintenance.
• Represent Residential Life in campus committees and events.
