Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst to support evaluation and acquisition of land opportunities for residential development.

The role includes financial analysis, market research, due diligence coordination, and reporting to assist leadership in identifying land investments aligning with growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and up to two years of relevant experience, with strong Excel and analytical skills to support investment decisions and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, Engineering or equivalent years of experience required.
• Zero–two years of experience in real estate, land acquisition, finance, development, homebuilding, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of real estate principles, financial analysis, and land development processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new programs quickly.
• Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday with standard vision requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify land acquisition opportunities.
• Prepare financial models, land valuation analyses, development cost estimates, and acquisition proformas.
• Assist in evaluating acquisition opportunities by analyzing demographics, housing demand, pricing, and market conditions.
• Coordinate due diligence activities including engineering, environmental, and title reviews.
• Track contract timelines, approvals, and milestones.
• Prepare acquisition packages, reports, and presentations for management review.
