D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division Land Acquisition Manager . The right candidate will oversee land acquisition activities within an assigned geographic area while maintaining responsibility for assigned acquisition transactions. This role supervises land acquisition personnel, manages departmental operations, and directly supports the execution of land acquisition strategies that align with business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises 2 or more employees
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of progressive experience in land acquisition, development, real estate, or homebuilding required.
2+ years of leadership or project leadership experience.
Ability to develop talent while maintaining accountability for business results.
Proven ability to build productive partnerships across departments to facilitate successful acquisitions.
Strong computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new programs and systems.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form, or through DRH applications.
Ability to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
Experience leading land acquisition teams while managing multiple transactions, priorities, and cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced homebuilding or real estate environment.
