Job summary

Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Director to support the Carol and Gene Ludwig Center for Research on Neurodegeneration (CGLC) within the Neurology Department. The role coordinates research administration, fiscal management, and strategic planning to enable complex, multi-institution projects addressing Alzheimer’s disease family of neurodegenerative diseases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required.
• Five years of related experience required.
• Strong communication and project management skills required.
• Experience with grants and contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop new collaborative and funding opportunities (NIH, philanthropy, foundations) for the CGLC program.
• Lead financial strategic planning including 3–5 year budgets in coordination with Neurology and VP&S.
• Collaborate with philanthropic sources, physicians, scientists, and sponsors for program goals.
• Prioritize resource allocation to ensure deliverables across the CGLC program.
